Allan's Biography

Freelance Photographer, Allan Akins was employed for many years as a corporate photographer producing images for catalogs, print ads, store displays, websites and corporate annual reports to stockholders. His interest in photography began while earning a Bachelor Of Fine Arts degree in studio painting from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. A life long love of the use of light in his drawing and painting has informed and inspired his use of light and composition in commercial photography.

After graduation from T.C.U., Allan took continuing education courses from Southern Methodist University in The Academy Of Visual Communication with a number of Dallas photographers serving as instructors. With a broad range of experience in many types of photography, he has completed many challenging projects in diverse areas of advertising, architecture, corporate business, fine arts, marketing, and retail.

Always in pursuit of the perfect image with the determination of a perfectionist, he is constantly looking for and thinking about ways to create an image that meets and even exceeds client expectations.
